'What is Color? What is Race? A Presentation of Black'

Call for Artwork for a new exhibit event in the Hopko Performance Gallery scheduled for October 2020.

SoCCA is honored to present “What is Color? What is Race? – A Presentation of Black” facilitated by Deborah Garner and the Make it Different Foundation. The Make it Different Foundation was established in 2018 in honor and memoriam of Taahir “Ty” Harris who was well known for his special gift and ability to "bring people together" from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. He inspired others as both a role model and leader to his peers. The Make it Different Foundation is dedicated to reaching youth and young adults with community based interventions and supports that will help make a difference in the quality of their lives.

The month-long event will include historical representations and exhibits, visual art, dance, performance, spoken word and motivational speaking in SoCCA’s gallery both virtually and live.
