ArtVanGo!, SoCCA's new traveling art van, will enable us to connect artists and programming to individuals or groups who have a desire to create. We believe art creates a direct connection between mind and body. Engaging in creative activities can help reduce anxiety and stress, gives rise to joy and yields a sense of accomplishment, all while increasing self-esteem and self-confidence. People have the desire to create and a yearning to have an expressive voice through making art. It's been shown that creative expression is a powerful tool for the brain, improving critical thinking and empathy, creating wellness and enhancing quality of life. ArtVanGo! will assist us in fulfilling the desire for creative expression in Southington and surrounding communities. We are so excited to offer this fun and exciting addition to SoCCA!

ArVanGo! along with professional instructors, will provide art-making activities and exploration for people of all ages and abilities, sparking curiosity and creating deeper connections to the community. Each ArtVanGo! experience is a customized package.
We are available for events at schools and libraries along with community events and those in conjunction with civic and non-profit organizations. We will travel to events with supplies for the project that we will create with you!

Two variations of programming are available:

Hands-on art or Demonstration art.
ArtVanGo! can be booked for single indoor or outdoor events and for indoor class/group visits. Only one art activity may be selected per visit.
A minimum 2.5 hours per visit is required for booking (including setup and cleanup). 6-15 participants are encouraged in group settings. There will be an added charge for additional time or additional participants. Call for availability and rates!
Adult chaperone(s) and/or teacher(s) must remain in the space during the visits to indoor classroom settings. One adult per 10 children.

Please contact us to create a one-of-a-kind special art project!
We have activities that are suitable for ages 5 to 105. Reach out to us to discuss visits for groups of children younger than five years old.
Please note: Each booking request will be evaluated to determine that it meets ArtVanGo's purpose, parameters, and availability. Submitting a request does not guarantee an approved booking.
