Ceramic Studio Schedule 

Sessions run for seven weeks each semester.  Best to contact us for start dates for each series of sessions.

Session Descriptions

Teen Pottery-This introductory course in wheel throwing pottery is the perfect place to start. And our instructors are top-notch! In this beginners course, you will explore:

  • Hand building with clay
  • How to use a slab roller
  • Centering and pulling clay on the potter’s wheel
  • Forming cylinders and bowls on the wheel and 
  • Glazing your finished works

Beginner Class - for the enthusiast. Monday mornings, 9-12noon or Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6-9:00pm
Just starting out with clay? In this class you will explore centering and pulling clay on the potters wheel making cylinders and bowls. Your instructor will also demonstrate hand building and use of the slab roller. Instruction also allows guidance through glazing and finishing your works. Sessions run for three hours a week for seven weeks. 

Intermediate Class - for the experienced. Thursday evening, 6-9:00pm.  If you can center clay, pull a cylinder and throw a bowl, but you were looking for advance to your skills - this is a class for you. Refine your handles, learn how to make lidded jars and tea pots, also learn decorating techniques with slips and glazes. No matter how long you have been potting, there’s always room for improving.

Open Studio- for the intermediate to advanced Ceramic Artist.
Must be able to work independently (no instructor.) Take advantage of our 2000 square-foot cone six studio with three electric kilns, 12 wheels, (one with adjustable height and wheelchair accessibility), 30 inch Northstar slab roller with hand building area and a wide pallet of custom glaze choices. Choose from either one to three - 3 hour blocks a week for seven weeks.  Studio closed for major Holidays.

Prices may vary by season as session durations run in 6-week, 7-week and 8-week blocks.

Teen Pottery 7-week Session

 Members: $160, Non-Members: $175, Materials Fee: None, all supplies included

Beginner and Intermediate Sessions  7-week Session
3 hour class with instructor. $180m + Materials Fee: Clay or 198nm + Materials Fee: Clay
3 hour class + one/3 hr open studio (6hrs/week). $290m + Materials Fee: Clay, or  $320nm + Materials Fee: Clay

Open Studio 7-week Session
One/3 hr block = 3 hrs a week. $123m + Materials Fee: Clay or 140nm + Materials Fee: Clay
Two/3 hr blocks = 6 hours a week.  $230m  + Materials Fee: Clay or 265nm + Materials Fee: Clay

Materials Fee- (1) $30, 25lbs Bag of clay; White Clay, Brown Clay and B-mix or (1) $25, 25lbs Bag of Recycled Clay. Purchase HERE
