Open Studio - for the intermediate to advanced Ceramic Artist.
Must be able to work independently (no instructor.) Take advantage of our 2000 square-foot cone six studio with three electric kilns, 12 wheels, (one with adjustable height and wheelchair accessibility), 30 inch Northstar slab roller with hand building area and a wide pallet of custom glaze choices. Choose from either one to three - 3 hour blocks a week for six weeks.

Open Studio - 6 weeks
One/3 hr block = 3 hrs a week. $105m  120nm
Two/3 hr blocks = 6 hours a week.  $195m  210nm
Three/3 hr block = 9 hours a week. $280m  295nm

Clay is availabe in the studio - $30 material fee firing, glazes & 25lbs of clay: white or brown stoneware, Bmix, $35 materials fee for 25lbs porcelain

Wheel Throwing Pottery for Beginners - Adults ages 18 & up
You’ve waited long enough. It’s time to do the thing you’ve always wanted to try—pottery!  This introductory, 6-week course in wheel throwing pottery is the perfect place to start. And our instructors are top-notch! In this beginners course, you will explore:

  • Hand building with clay
  • How to use a slab roller
  • Centering and pulling clay on the potter’s wheel
  • Forming cylinders and bowls on the wheel and 
  • Glazing your finished works

Imagine the joy of trying something you have dreamed of doing for years. It’s time to create beautiful clay works. And perhaps pursue a new hobby!

Wheel Throwing Pottery for Intermediates - Adults ages 18 & up

There’s something about working with clay that grounds and centers the soul. And now that you’ve learned to center clay, pull a cylinder, and throw a bowl in the beginner class—it’s time to take your clay working skills to the next level. Justin is a true master of his craft and will show you how to:

  • Refine your handles
  • Learn to make lidded jars and teapots
  • Learn decorating techniques using slips and glazes

Nurture your love of pottery. Create lasting works of beauty and function.

Youth Hand Building with Clay Ages 8-14 yrs, 4-5:30 pm

Do you have a hands-on learner? One who loves to manipulate things with their fingers and build? Then sign them up to learn how to build with clay from one of our best instructors. Robert will open the door to our clay studio for students to create their own clay sculptures, pinch pots, dishes, candleholders, and soap dishes. They will also learn how to decorate, glaze, and fire their artwork in our kiln in a safe environment, in a 6-week course of study.
