Arts Instructors
Art Instructors for Youth and Adult Programming
Southington Community Cultural Arts Center offers classes to neurotypical and neurodiverse youth, ages 3+, adults, ages 18+, in ceramics, costuming, drawing, film makings, jewelry, music, printing, photography, poetry, theater, sculpture, sewing and weaving. SoCCA seeks to expand its education programming to introduce new instructors with a long history of experience in arts education at all levels offering innovative approaches to informing students of classical and contemporary techniques within all art medium.
Proposals should include a title to class or workshop and a description. Those seeking instructing a series of classes over a seven week timeframe should include a syllabus and timeline of topics demonstrated and a description of those techniques participants will experience. A full paragraph description of what will be presented in sessions, and references to facilities organizations and individuals you have worked with in the past should also be included. A brief biography of work history and electronic images to support marketing efforts in listing the sessions in our catalog are also required.

Bands, Film-makers, and Musicians
Performers for Monthly 4th Friday in the Hopko Performance Hall
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit details of all musicians included including contact information, headshots, biographical and media samples or links to previous venues. Musicians must have their own equipment and understand the responsibility of complete setup and dismantling of the performance at the date/time of the event.
Seeking live performances typically lasting approximately 90-120 minutes. Precedence will be given to local applicants from the greater Connecticut region, but proposals from elsewhere are also accepted on a firm first served basis. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
All applications should include:
• Description of the concept/idea for the performance
• Complete ist of musicians associated with the performance
• Complete list of individuals assisting in the production of the performance,
including sound and stagehands.
• Basic outline of your expected equipment and technical requirements
• Up to 3 links to examples of your work*
*Only submit online links/passwords to your past work on sites like YouTube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, and Bandcamp. Physical support material (i.e. CDs/DVDs) will not be accepted. Vendors & Artisans
SoCCA invites area fine Artists and Craftsmen and women to submit information and images for consideration to the SoCCA Gift Shop. Individuals aiming to be considered and selected as consignors should fill out the form including uploading images of the artwork and items to be consigned. Merchandise is to be presented and received by scheduled and confirmed appointments only. All items received and removed are at the discretion of the organization. SoCCA Scholarships
SoCCA strives to make the arts available to everyone. Art lessons and associated materials can be quite costly. Those experiencing financial hardship or who know of a person or families who would benefit from Scolarship assistance, please inquire about SoCCA's scholarship programs. All people deserve the chance to experience the creative healing of the arts
SoCCA also offers Art classes free for our local veterans in painting, drawing, and collage in appreciation for their service to our county.
