Southington Community Cultural Arts (SoCCA) strives to create an environment in which people of all ages and abilities can have a place to create, exhibit and welcome the arts into their lives. We invite all people to engage in cultural and community activities to share artistic talent and enrich the quality of life in our community.

Partnering with Southington Pride Organization for 2022, SoCCA will be hosting the following events at 93 Main Street, Southington location!

May 6, 3 - 5:00pm - (CANCELED MAY 5/5pm no registrations) Kick off the event with a Visit to NBMAA! Join the All Access Art Program for a Docent-Led Tour of the Museum’s permanent collection. Join all at the New Britain Museum of American Art, 56 Lexington Street, New Britain, for a personal informational tour of the artwork in the galleries. Guests meet at the main lobby of the museum for an amazing experience with the current exhibits. $20/per person.

Friday, May 13, 7 - 9:00pm - Teen Dance at SoCCA Hopko Performance Hall/Gallery - FREE to grades 9-12.

Saturday, May 14, 2 - 5:00pm - Hands-on Community Banner Painting - Camp Sloper Event. Families and individuals of all ages are welcome to join all in a community-wide collaborative large canvas painting. Encouraging all to express themselves with visuals and imagery in a variety of styles. Bring your artist talents to complete a fun and empowering 5x10 foot canvas panel with acrylic paints!

Sunday, May 15, 9 - 11:00am - SoCCA/Southington Pride Chalk Art Contest (download flier here.) Sign up for participating in an ALL ages welcome/Family-friendly chalk sidewalk painting contest. Each Chalk Block is laid out 5 x 5 feet square in the SoCCA - Town Hall parking area behind the SoCCA Arts Center. Registration is $5 for each 5x5' chalk block. Pre-register HERE:  


People's Choice Award selected by community participation from digital images of each entry to be displayed on SoCCA website virtual gallery following the days event.
