Dinner Under The Stars
SoCCA’s Second Annual Dinner Under the Stars Goes Virtual
Southington Community Cultural Arts (SoCCA) will once again host its Dinner Under the Stars – but instead of a table set for 100 on the Town Green, diners will participate virtually in their own homes while supporting local restaurants and farms.
Established in 2019, Dinner Under the Stars is a community-wide, farm-to-table event that featured local produce and chefs. The premier event entailed a five-course meal prepared by Flair Restaurant, Smokin’ With Chris, Craft Kitchen, Anthony Jack’s and Paul Gregory’s. The main entrée, a beef brisket, was provided by Karabin Farms. Guests enjoyed the sumptuous offerings as they dined at one long community table that extended out 104 feet along the Town Green.
The second annual Virtual Dinner Under the Stars will once again benefit arts programming at SoCCA as well as the six restaurants and farms that participated in last year’s event. Tickets are $100 each and participants will get a choice of one $50 gift card to the restaurant or farm of their choice. Buy Tickets
“Our first annual Dinner Under the Stars event last year was so magical and truly fostered a sense of community as we all dined together and enjoyed the offerings of our local farms and restaurants,” said SoCCA Executive Director Mary DeCroce. “This year’s event will look different, but the sense of community is still inherent as we come together to celebrate the arts and support our local establishments during these times of social distancing. We look forward to a successful event - get tickets by September 12, 2020!”
Gift cards will be delivered to each participating household to be used during a time and date that’s convenient for the purchaser. Sponsorships for the event are also available and will be featured on all literature and in SoCCA’s windows along Main Street.
Southington Community Cultural Arts strives to create a welcoming environment where people of all ages and abilities are free to imagine, create, exhibit and welcome the arts into their lives.
